  • Esha Gupta said, “There was no drama or bitterness. It just wasn’t meant to be”

    New Delhi:

Actor Esha Gupta was rumoured to be dating cricketer Hardik Pandya a couple of years ago. The actor addressed the rumours during her recent appearance on Siddharth Kannan’s YouTube channel. Hardik Pandya was married to actor-model Natasa Stankovic. They announced their divorce through an Instagram post last year.

    What’s Happening

    • During the interview, Esha revealed there was a possibility of a relationship back then which didn’t materialise.
    • “Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months. We were at that ‘maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t’ stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn’t dating-dating. We met once or twice, that’s it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended,” Esha said.
    • “There was no drama or bitterness. It just wasn’t meant to be,” was her response when she was asked if relationship was on the card.
    • Esha Gupta was one of the few celebrities who called out Hardik Pandya’s problematic comments during his appearance on Koffee With Karan, 2019
    • However, Esha was not in touch with the star cricketer at the time of the incident and it didn’t bother her much.

  • War 2 will be releasing in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on August 14, 2025

    • New Delhi:
    • The countdown to Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 has officially begun. On Thursday, May 26, the actor unveiled fresh posters of himself, Kiara Advani and Jr NTR from the upcoming action drama, taking the excitement of fans a notch higher.
    • Hrithik Roshan returns as Major Kabir in War 2. The poster offers a close-up shot of the actor looking fierce. He sports a bruised avatar, holding a weapon, and sporting a grim expression.
    • The caption read, “This time he is ruthless, merciless, relentless and ready for WAR! Are you? The countdown begins now. 50 Days to War 2.”
  • Smriti Mandhana struck her first T20I ton in her 149th game, a 62-ball 112 studded with 15 fours and three sixes, to help the visitors to 210 runs before dismissing the hosts for 113 in 14.5 overs

“I like to time the ball; (I’m) not a big hitter of the ball and, for the last six years, it’s always (been) a work in progress and it’s still a work in progress.

“So, to actually get a hundred in this format, getting it before in Test cricket and one-day cricket which are more suited to my batting, but getting it in this format is pretty special because it’s not one of my strengths,” she said.

Mandhana added that she had been working on her power hitting.

“The improvement… and I’m trying to work a lot on my power hitting and to see that come through, which is a really nice feeling,” she said.

The left-handed opener, who had topped the batting charts last year with 763 runs in 23 T20Is, including eight fifties, said her celebration after scoring the ton was directed at teammate Radha Yadav.

“That’s actually a funny story. I think three days back, me and Radha Yadav were having a conversation that, (and) you know all these girls are really hard on me sometimes, they keep telling me (and) she was telling me that it’s high time you get a century in T20s,” Mandhana said.

“‘You keep getting out in 70s, 80s and you’re not doing justice to your talent’ and all of that stuff. I was like, ‘okay Radha, I will see now’. This time, I’ll try and get (it) in one of the matches in the series.

“I did not think that it would come in the first match. The finger was towards her that ‘see, I got it today’. It’s pretty frustrating to get out in the 70s and 80s over the last 10 years,” she added.

Mandhana heaped praise on India bowlers, especially 20-year-old debutant Shree Charani, who bagged four wickets.

“The way the bowlers bowled and executed the plans was just amazing. That makes our job very, very easy when they bowl like that,” Mandhana said.

“They all were really focused. They knew their plans, especially (for) Shree to come in the first match and bowl (like that)… we saw what she could do in WPL a little bit. She was always looking really like a good bowler. But today, the way she actually bowled was amazing,” Mandhana said.

“(For) all the bowlers, the plans were pretty clear. Even when we were inside and there were a few wickets fell and Nat (Sciver-Brunt) was on one end. The plan was pretty clear to try and execute your best ball to Nat and give a single to her, which they did brilliantly throughout.” Mandhana said a big knock from opener Shafali Verma was also round the corner.

“I’ve seen Shafali bat last 7-8 days amazingly well in the nets, so I don’t see a big knock too far because the way she’s been hitting the ball.

  • London-based venture capitalist Manoj Badale and his company Emerging Media Ventures are suing businessman Raj Kundra at London’s High Court for allegedly breaching a 2019 confidential settlement agreement

Badale’s lawyer Adam Speker said Kundra, who is married to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, had threatened to report serious allegations to Indian authorities in a “blackmail attempt”.

Kundra, however, says he has been told information about the claimants and his lawyer William McCormick that, if that is not true, “in due course it will be exposed”.

Kundra had to forfeit his 11.7% stake after being found guilty in 2015 of betting on IPL games in a scandal which led to the Rajasthan Royals being suspended for two years, Speker said.

He added in court filings that Kundra emailed Badale “out of the blue” last month, alleging he had been “misled and defrauded of the rightful value of my 11.7% stake”.

The email to Badale said Kundra had filed a complaint with Indian authorities and threatened to make a report to India’s Cricket Board (BCCI).

Kundra added, however, that he was willing to discuss a deal involving “the restoration of my original equity or compensation reflecting the true and current valuation of the Rajasthan Royals franchise”.

Speker said Kundra also messaged disgraced IPL founder Lalit Modi this month, saying Badale “did not realise cheating me of the true value would cost him dearly”.

Badale and his Emerging Media Ventures, which holds a 65% stake in Rajasthan Royals, obtained an interim injunction against Kundra on May 30, preventing Kundra from breaching the settlement agreement by making disparaging statements.

Kundra’s lawyer McCormick said Kundra accepted the injunction should continue until a full trial of the lawsuit.

“It is not an admission that anything improper has been done or is being threatened,” McCormick said.

  • Can The Ice Dunk Trend Save Your Skin? We Asked Experts

Summer doesn’t exactly scream “beauty trend season,” but one skincare practise is climbing the charts and rightly so – the ice dunking trend. From Alia Bhatt using ice to reduce puffiness to Ananya Panday showcasing it as a cool beauty hack that works, ice dunking has become a favourite among many celebrities.

While ice has always been a popular element in skincare rituals, the recent trend has us curious about its real benefits. NDTV reached out to experts to better understand both the advantages and disadvantages of this growing skincare practise.

What Is Ice Dunking For Skin?

Dunking ice for skin- also known as ice dunking or an ice water facial – is a popular beauty trend where you submerge your face in a bowl full of ice-cold water for a short period. It is sort of a cold therapy believed to refresh and rejuvenate the skin.

Benefits Of Ice Dunking For Skin

From improving skin texture to reducing inflammation, ice dunking offers several benefits – but do they actually last? We asked experts.

Dr Meghana Reddy Endela, Consultant Dermatologist at Zennara Clinics, told NDTV that ice dunking improves circulation, reduces inflammation, enhances skin health, and may even regulate core body temperature.

“Cold water has anti-inflammatory benefits and soothes irritated, itchy skin. It refreshes the skin, especially in hot weather. Cold water is also known to have a temporary benefit on enlarged pores and improving skin tone due to the vasoconstriction effect,” explains Dr Madhuri Agarwal, Dermatologist, Founder & Medical Director at Yavana Aesthetics Clinic.

Dr Rashmi Sharma, Dermatologist and Director at Kara Dermatology Solutions & Aesthetic Centre, agrees that while ice dunking can benefit the skin, it does have not have a long-term effect. “It can temporarily shrink the pores and make your skin shine, which will make the redness reduce”.

Are There Any Side Effects Of Ice Dunking

As the trend gains popularity, many people follow it blindly without understanding the potential side effects, which may lead to skin issues.

Dr Endela says, “Beginners should start by dipping their face in ice for about 15 seconds and gradually increase to 30 seconds. It’s important to take breaks between plunges to avoid problems. People with sensitive skin need to be careful, as cold water can strip the skin of natural oils, causing skin irritation and dryness”.

    Who Should Avoid Ice Dunking

You may want to hop on the bandwagon when there’s a new skincare trend around, but it’s crucial to evaluate whether it suits your skin type. Experts recommend avoiding ice dunking in certain cases:

    • If you have rosacea (a chronic inflammatory skin condition) as extreme temperatures can trigger a flare-up.
    • Those who suffer from circulatory issues such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues) and Raynaud (a condition that causes the blood vessels in the extremities, typically fingers and toes).
    • People who have sensitive skin as it may cause irritation and skin damage.
    • Ice dunking can make it worse if you are prone to broken capillaries.
    • You should not try it if you have severe acne. While it may soothe inflammation, can irritate lesions.
  • After Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon And Alia Bhatt, Ice Water Dunking Is Mouni Roy’s Quickest Hack For Flawless Skin

Mouni Roy’s glam game has often crowned her a diva in Bollywood. But apart from that bold eye look, Mouni’s heart goes out for glass-like dewy skin. Agreed? But do you know what goes behind that flawless make-up look? Ice water facial. Yes, you read that right. Mouni has finally revealed her skin secret that she indulges in before going ahead with a full-face glam. The actress has dropped a video on Instagram, which begins with Mouni dunking her face in a bowl full of ice water for a few seconds. Incorporating an ice water facial in your morning skincare regime is amazing, as it eliminates puffiness, reduces oil, avoids acne and boosts skin’s glow among others. After the ice water facial, Mouni Roy followed the routine with a moisturiser. Next, she can be seen using a gold-plated T-Bar to massage her face. For those who don’t know, this tool increases blood circulation, shifts toxins away and tightens your skin among others. Once done with the step, Mouni begins with her full face make-up. Of course, it included her favourite wing eyeliner. The minimal glam included coral blush, half-kohl-rimmed eyes, and nude lips.

It turns out that ice water facial has been B-Town diva’s beauty mantra. We say this as Mouni Roy is not the only one to rest her faith in this Korean beauty hack. Before Mouni, last year Alia Bhatt confessed that she dunks her face in ice water. Unlike Mouni Roy, Ali does it multiple times. In a video, shared by Vogue on YouTube, Alia said, “So I literally dunked my face in ice so, here it goes. And then I come up and then I go back inside. Immediately, all the blood rushes to my face and I feel all pink and fresh and ready to take on the day.”
